“FRIENDS”

Today, I would be talking about probably one of the most commonly used words “friend.” A friend is someone you trust, care about, and hold with high regard. Friends are important because you can easily go to them for advice, support, and company. But I can say it’s the most difficult thing to find that friend.

“There are three reasons friends come into your life; for a reason, a season, and a lifetime- Jay Shetty.

Is This Not Insanity?

You give your all to a friend(s) and you don’t get what you give in return. It’s quite frustrating. You think you are the problem and you need to reassess your values to fix a problem with a friend(s), but nothing works out, and then you realize, they just don’t care. You do terrible things to the extent of even hurting people that truly cared about you just to please people you supposedly call your friends, and then you lose at the end. Is this not insanity? Friends that we expect to trust, to value our worth, to fan our flames, and to be with us even during tough times. They vanish like they were never there. They were a product of our delusional thoughts, but in reality, they were there to make us sad, cry, mean, and most of all lose ourselves and our identity. Is that then who we call our friends. Why do we lurk around trying to find the true friend when we can find our true selves? This is insanity. Better to be alone than surround ourselves with hearts of stone. Better to seek for peace than seek to please. It’s hard, it’s just hard to find the one. To find the one who understands you like no one else, the one who cares, the one who listens, the one whose heart charms even the dullest of souls. I am that friend. I am my friend. Why do we invest so much strength, confidence and trust in our friends while we are broken? Is this not insanity? Through it all, a friend is there for a reason, a season, and a lifetime. she is there to teach us betrayal, he is there to help us grow, she is there to help us love, he is there to help us live, she is there to teach us vulnerability, and best of all he is there till ETERNITY. wow, now I see the essence of friends is SANITY.

  1. Deep words kofo. At the end of the day, we need them all- the good friends and the not-so-good friends, to guide us in life and teach us valuable lessons as we proceed in life. It was all intentional by our maker that we experience it all.
