What does happiness mean and how can you live this happy life? (emotional exercise). Finerminds

Hi guys! Today we are going to talk about emotional exercises that would lead to a healthy and happy life. This post hopefully would help you guys manage your emotions to an extent in order to prevent any damage to your new happyhealthylife.

Neuroscientists say that how we feel habitually is regulated by our emotional thermostat.

People experience different moods on different occasions at different times. They could be gloomy, sad, enthusiastic, overjoyed, etc.

The first thing we are going to do today is identify our emotional set point.

We all have an emotional or vibration set point. As we experience various emotions throughout the day, we go up and down the emotional scale. Someone with a low emotional set point would find it difficult to attract someone with a high emotional set point.

We also use emotional point to attract like people in our lives.

In conclusion, we can increase our emotional set point by knowing how to transform these emotions, and also learning how to manage them on a daily basis.

What is your emotional set point?

If your emotional set point is high, you’re likely to experience joy and contentment in life. If your emotional set point is low, you’re likely not too happy with the general course of life, or you’re just always sad about everything.

Activities that can increase your emotional set point

1. Meditating

According to neuroscientist Dr. Sara Lazar, research shows that regular meditation decreases stress, and reduces depression, anxiety disorders, pain, and insomnia. It also enhances our ability to pay attention.

2. Journalling

As the Health Encyclopedia of the University of Rochester explains, journaling has many benefits. In general, journaling helps you to deal with any overwhelming emotion by giving you a healthy outlet in which to express yourself. Here are some of the benefits:

  • Manage anxiety
  • Reduce stress
  • Cope with depression
  • Feel happier

3. Exercise

Like I said in my previous post, exercise is one of the major contributors to a happy and healthy life. If you’ve not read that post, check it out for further elaboration
