Let go of it!

Hi! guys. I hope you guys are feeling good today? I know I am. Today’s post would be about letting go of somethings that are holding us back from living that happy and healthy life we desire. I hope you find at least one thing that inspires you in this blog. Before you start reading, follow me on twitter and on Instagram.

Let’s get to it:

Letting go

To let go of something is to finally detach yourself from something that has been holding or is holding you back. When you let go of something, you feel relief and freedom because you can finally widen your horizon. If you notice, some of the reasons to why you’re unhappy is due to the fact that you haven’t let go of some things like grudges, people, failure, death etc. I want you to carry out a task that involves you recalling some of the things that are making you unhappy or have made you unhappy. This is to prove to you that some of the things that are making you unhappy is due to not letting go. SO YOU NEED TO LET GO!

Personal experience

Months back I used to hold on to things a lot, and this attitude to life really made me unhappy. Back in high school, I used to hold on to my failures a lot, and this made me even do worse in school. For example, if I did really bad in Mathematics, it would really affect me, and then I would be really sad, think negatively about myself, and then whatever I think would come to manifestation because whatever you thinketh so are you. I would tell myself things like “I know I wouldn’t do well in this subject because i’m always failing this subject.” This was usually my mindset and I kept on merely improving or not improving at all according to my standard*. Yes, I prayed to God, but I lacked faith, and kept on holding on to my failure. What i’m trying to say is that you should not hold on to things unnecessarily because it prevents you from fulfilling your destiny in life and your desired happy life.

Examples of things people hold on to

1. Failure

2. Death of a loved one

3. Grudges

4. People

5. Hatred

6. Negative memories

7. Fear etc.

You need to let go of these things unless they would hold you back from your success and happiness in life.

Fear is an unreal feeling you experience. It is simply the delusional thoughts we experience in our everyday life. “Fear” hinders us from discovering our innate abilities. According to Will Smith, “Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me danger is very real but fear is a choice.” I love this quote because I believe it applies to everyone. For example if you want to write an exam, you start experiencing the “fear of failure” even if you haven’t written the exam (the future), and that failure may not even be the result but you have already created a delusional thought, and your delusional thought might come to reality;this has affected a lot of people. Don’t get me wrong being anxious is alright but when you start experiencing the feeling of “fear,” that is near “insanity” and this can have a negative impact on your mental growth.

At the end of the day, try to let go of things that hold you back, so that you can achieve your goal to your fullest potential.
